Role Description This is a full time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Coimbatore, with a focus on using Adobe Illustrator for design and development.

The Fashion

Designer will create and refine school-wear concepts, translate ideas into detailed technical sketches, and prepare digital artwork and print files for production. Day-to-day tasks include developing collections aligned with the Prepster brand, collaborating with production and merchandising teams, and ensuring designs are feasible for manufacturing. The role also involves selecting colors, fabrics, and trims, updating design documentation, and maintaining consistency with brand guidelines.

Designer will participate in review meetings, incorporate feedback, and support the continuous improvement of product quality and aesthetics.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and other relevant design software for fashion sketching, pattern detailing, and technical flats.
- Ability to conceptualize and develop apparel collections, including knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and color theory.
- Experience in creating production-ready design files, tech packs, and clear specifications for manufacturing teams.
- Solid understanding of current fashion trends, especially in school-wear or youth apparel, and the ability to adapt them to brand requirements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with design, production, and merchandising teams in office.
- Robust attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple designs and deadlines.
- Prior experience in fashion design, apparel manufacturing, or related fields is preferred; a relevant degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a similar discipline is beneficial.
- Willingness to work on-site in Coimbatore and engage in hands-on coordination with sampling and production units.
