Republic Bharat TV is seeking a dynamic, decisive, and highly experienced Executive Producer (EP) to lead the end-to-end editorial and production execution of news programming across live bulletins, prime-time shows, breaking news, debates, and special programming.

The Executive Producer will have overall responsibility for ensuring editorial excellence, seamless production, strong on-air execution, and timely decision-making across assigned shows and shifts while maintaining Republic Bharat’s editorial intensity, speed, impact, and accuracy standards.

This role requires exceptional editorial judgment, strong leadership capabilities, deep understanding of TV news production and PCR operations, and the ability to take decisive calls in high-pressure, live broadcast environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the end-to-end editorial and production execution of assigned news bulletins, prime-time shows, breaking news, debates, and special programming.
2. Own the overall show output, ensuring that editorial strategy, content flow, production quality, and on-air execution are aligned with channel priorities.
3. Oversee and manage PCR operations during live and recorded broadcasts, ensuring smooth coordination between editorial and technical teams.
4. Plan, structure, and approve show rundowns, ensuring strong story selection, sequencing, scripting, timing, and editorial flow.
5. Take real-time editorial decisions during live broadcasts, including story changes, breaking news inserts, live inputs, debates, graphics, and programming shifts.
6. Drive breaking news coverage, coordinating closely with the Assignment Desk, reporters, anchors, video journalists, graphics, and technical teams.
7. Ensure strong editorial treatment of major stories through appropriate headlines, story angles, debates, live conversations, visuals, tickers, straps, and graphics.
8. Monitor and maintain the pace, continuity, accuracy, and impact of live programming while ensuring minimum dead air and production disruptions.
9. Work closely with Input Producers, Output Producers, Assignment Desk, Anchors, Reporters, Directors, MCR, Graphics, Audio, and Technical Teams for seamless execution.




10. Exercise strict editorial and quality control over scripts, visuals, graphics, tickers, headlines, supers, debates, packages, and other on-air elements.
11. Ensure all programming adheres to editorial policies, legal requirements, regulatory guidelines, journalistic standards, and channel protocols.
12. Manage last-minute editorial changes, developing stories, technical challenges, live-feed issues, and other high-pressure situations with speed and sound judgment.
13. Mentor, guide, and supervise Producers, Output Producers, Associate Producers, and other production staff, driving accountability, discipline, and performance.
14. Conduct regular reviews of show performance, identify gaps, and implement improvements in content quality, production workflow, editorial treatment, and operational efficiency.
15. Maintain strong coordination across shifts and ensure proper handover of developing stories, ongoing coverage, rundowns, and editorial priorities.
16. Ensure effective utilization of broadcast resources, live feeds, agency inputs, reporter inputs, video content, and archival material.
17. Monitor competing news channels and digital platforms to identify breaking stories, emerging trends, exclusive angles, and opportunities for differentiated coverage.
18. Take ownership of the overall quality, editorial impact, speed, and execution of assigned programming.
19. Maintain broadcast logs, production documentation, editorial records, and other operational requirements as necessary.
20. Act as the key editorial and production decision-maker during assigned shows/shifts and ensure complete ownership of the final on-air product.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- 8–12+ years of experience in television news production, preferably with a leading Hindi news channel.
- Proven experience as an Executive Producer / Senior Producer / Output Editor / Senior Output Producer / Show Producer or in a similar senior newsroom production role.
- Solid hands-on experience in PCR operations, live television production, rundown management, and show execution.
- Excellent understanding of TV news editorial workflows, breaking news operations, live inputs, debates, packages, graphics, tickers, and studio programming.
- Strong proficiency in rundown management systems such as iNews or similar newsroom computer systems (NRCS).
- In-depth knowledge of PCR, MCR, studio operations, vision mixing, audio, graphics, playout, live feeds, and broadcast workflows.
- Strong understanding of newsroom coordination between Input, Assignment Desk, Output, PCR, Reporters, Anchors, Graphics, and Technical teams.
- Excellent command of Hindi and English, with strong editorial and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large production teams and independently manage high-priority programming.
- Proven track record of handling breaking news, high-pressure live broadcasts, special coverage, and major news events.
