About the Role We are building a multi-tenant SaaS platform that includes a full-featured cloud-based 2DCAD editor built on Three.js WebGL, a data-driven job management application, fieldcapture workflows, and AI-assisted research tooling. We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with deep React expertise to own the CADeditor experience and contribute to the broader web application. This is a technicallydemanding role that requires strong React engineering, component architecture skills, andcomfort working close to the browser performance, rendering, and precision matter here.

What You Will Work On

- Cloud CAD Editor: a browser-based 2D CAD editor built on Three.js (WebGL, orthographic rendering). You will build and maintain CAD drawing tools, snapping engines, layer management, entity selection, undo/redo, and real-time collaboration features. The editor must sustain 60fps on large drawings.

- Web Application: a Turborepo monorepo SaaS app with multiple feature modules including orders, quoting, research, quality review, and billing. Feature-gated by role and subscription tier.

- Shared package library: auth, API client, UI components, and TypeScript types shared across both applications.

- CI/CD and deployment: GitHub Actions pipelines deploying to AWS S3 + CloudFront across dev, staging, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain features in the WebGL CAD editor drawing tools, geometry, snapping, entity manipulation, and canvas interaction.

- Architect and develop scalable, reusable React components and feature modules following best practices for performance and maintainability.

- Design and manage complex state across multiple layers server state via ReactQuery, UI state via Zustand, and CAD editor state via Redux Toolkit.

- Build and maintain shared Turborepo packages consumed across multiple applications.

- Implement advanced React patterns including lazy loading, code splitting, memoization, and concurrent features to meet performance targets.

- Integrate frontend applications with REST backend APIs using secure cookie-based authentication.

- Implement role-based access control, route protection, and subscription-tier feature gating.

- Handle real-time UI updates via WebSocket connections.





- Integrate third-party SDKs including Stripe for billing flows and Mapbox GL JS for map-based workflows.

- Optimize rendering performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

- Lead code reviews, establish patterns, and mentor junior developers.

- Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies.

- Write clean, well-typed TypeScript code that is easy to review, test, and extend.

Requirements

- Education: Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, or a related field.

- Core React Expertise

- 35 years of professional frontend development experience with React as the primary framework

- Expert-level understanding of React internals reconciliation, rendering behavior, concurrent mode, and the Rules of Hooks

- Strong experience building component libraries and design systems with reusable, composable components

- Proven ability to identify and fix React performance issues unnecessary re-renders, large component trees, expensive computations

- Experience with React Router for complex client-side routing including protected routes, lazy loading, and nested layouts

- Hands-on experience with React Query (TanStack Query v5) for server state caching, invalidation, optimistic updates, pagination

- Experience with Zustand or equivalent lightweight state for UI state management

- Deep familiarity with React hooks custom hooks, useCallback, useMemo, useRef, useTransition, and useContext patterns

- TypeScript

- Robust TypeScript skills generics, utility types, discriminated unions, and strict mode

- Experience typing complex state shapes, API response contracts, and component prop interfaces

- Comfortable enforcing type safety across shared packages and multiple consuming apps

- State Management

- Experience with Redux Toolkit in a production codebase slice design, RTK Query, middleware, and selector patterns





- Ability to reason about when to use local state, shared UI state, and server state appropriately

- CAD or Graphics (Required)

- Hands-on experience with Three.js, WebGL, or equivalent browser rendering engine

- Understanding of 2D geometric operations, coordinate systems, and canvas interaction

- Experience building or maintaining tools that require high frame-rate rendering (60fps targets)

- Comfort working with orthographic cameras, raycasting, and scene graph management

- Architecture and Tooling

- Experience with monorepo tooling (Turborepo, Nx, or equivalent)

- Familiarity with Vite as a build tool configuration, plugin ecosystem, and environment variables

- Understanding of CloudFront/CDN deployments, cache-control strategy, and SPA routing patterns

- Experience with GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD pipelines

- API and Auth

- Experience integrating REST APIs with typed fetch clients and centralized error handling

- Understanding of browser cookie-based authentication (httpOnly cookies, CORS, credentials: include)

- Familiarity with OAuth2 / OIDC authentication flows

- Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience with Mapbox GL JS or similar map rendering libraries

- Experience with Stripe Elements or Stripe React SDK

- Exposure to AWS (S3, CloudFront, ECS)

- Experience with WebSocket-based real-time features in React

- Understanding of Content Security Policy and browser security headers

- Familiarity with React Native for future mobile work
