Role Description This is a full-time, in office Elevator Technician role based in Bengaluru South.

The Elevator

Technician will install, commission, inspect, maintain, and repair luxury elevator systems according to technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include performing diagnostic checks, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, replacing parts, and conducting routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and wiring diagrams, coordinating with supervisors and project teams on installation schedules, and documenting service activities accurately.

Technician will also respond to breakdowns, ensure safe operation before handover, and interact with customers and site personnel in a professional manner.

Qualifications

- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators or similar electro-mechanical equipment.
- Basic to intermediate electrical skills, including understanding of wiring diagrams, control panels, safety circuits, and use of electrical testing tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications; sound troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, local codes, and industry standards related to elevator installation and servicing; commitment to safe work practices.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and clients on project and service activities.
- Physical ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, and to handle tools, equipment, and components required for elevator work.
- Relevant technical qualification such as ITI, Diploma, or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Prior experience in the elevator industry or building services is highly desirable; familiarity with luxury or customized elevator systems is an advantage.
