Roles and Responsibilities:

- Assess safety hazards and take steps to minimise risk.
- Supervise electrical works to ensure 100% Safety compliance as per clients’ requirements.
- Inspecting and assessing the work done by the electrical staff as per safety standards
- Conduct safety trainings to electricians, technicians, and support staff.
- Overseeing the purchasing and safety gear required for various electrical jobs
- Ensuring the work is completed on schedule and to code.

Required Skills:

Technical

Formulation & implementation of Safety Plan, Procedures, Budget

Hazard identification & Risk assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis, Work Permit.

Safety audit, training, communication, documentation, Pro-active measures

People

Good coordination skills, interpersonal relationship management, conflict management.

Understanding of the culture and work as a change agent, to develop a good

Safety culture

Solid leadership skills to drive Safety agenda





Key Performance Standards:

Policy, Standards and Procedures

Facilitate compliance with corporate Policies, Standards & Procedures

Safety

Develop & review site specific Policies, Standards & Procedures and facilitate compliance.

Risk assessments and risk mitigation- Implement SWP |JSA | HIRA

Emergency preparedness and Response

Safety committees, Safety Trainings, promotional activities

Machine guarding, lock out Tag out, Lifting tools & tackles, Electricals, Work permits, confined spaces, project safety, PPEs.

Training

Identify training needs in Safety and organize necessary Safety trainings through internal and external faculties.

Requirements:

- Minimum Experience: 3-4 Years
- Knowledge of all kinds of electrical work processes
- Ready to work in and around Karnataka. Work location -Bangalore.
- Proven work experience as a Safety officer in Residential & Commercial sites
- Strong leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with state electrical and safety codes.
- Basic computer skills.
- A good eye for detail.

Educational Qualification: ITI Electrician or Diploma will be an added advantage.

-  Safety Certification from a Govt. recognized institution is a must.
