Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute electrical commissioning plans, scripts, and test procedures (Levels 1–5: factory witness, component verification, pre-functional, functional, and integrated systems testing).
- Commission and verify medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution: switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, static transfer switches (STS), automatic transfer switches (ATS), PDUs, RPPs, busway, and generators/paralleling switchgear.
- Lead and witness functional performance testing, load bank testing, and integrated systems tests (pull-the-plug / black-building tests), documenting results and system responses.
- Review design documents, submittals, sequences of operation, and one-line diagrams for commissioning-ability and design intent compliance.
- Track, document, and resolve commissioning issues and deficiencies through an issues log to closeout.




- Coordinate testing schedules with the construction team, vendors, and third-party testing agencies (e.g., NETA acceptance testing).
- Produce clear commissioning reports, turnover packages, and system manuals; support owner training and warranty-phase activities.
- Champion safety, quality, and adherence to arc-flash, LOTO, and site EHS requirements throughout all energized and de-energized testing.

Required Qualifications

- 3–10 years of electrical commissioning experience, with direct experience commissioning data centers or comparable mission-critical facilities.
- Strong working knowledge of critical power systems: UPS, generators, paralleling switchgear, ATS/STS, PDUs, and MV/LV distribution.
- Familiarity with commissioning standards and processes (e.g., ASHRAE Guideline 0/1.1, LEED Cx) and electrical testing standards (NETA ATS).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and sequences of operation.
- Understanding of NEC/NFPA 70, NFPA 70E arc-flash safety, and site safety practices.
- Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills; comfortable leading test events on active construction sites.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (equivalent field experience considered).
- Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center programs and delivery at scale.
- Familiarity with BMS/EPMS integration and commissioning software/issue-tracking tools.
