This role sits closest to a business leader — present in every important review and decision, trusted to turn their instincts and priorities into a tracked, time-bound plan, and expected to hold the immediate team accountable without being told twice.

SAR's management style is direct, fast-moving with process for its own sake. This role exists to bring structure into that environment without slowing it down — and to represent the business's real numbers and constraints upward, even when that means pushing back.

Responsibilities:

- Act as the director's operating partner — converting verbally communicated priorities into a tracked, time-bound action plan.
- Own the core business metrics by segment: Volume, Revenue, GP, EBITDA, PBT, AR ageing, AP ageing etc.
- Chase, follow up, and hold Sales,



Operations and Finance leads accountable for their numbers and commitments — repeatedly, and without waiting to be asked.
- Flag problems and risks proactively, before they surface in a review — no surprises upward or downward.
- Represent the business's data and constraints directly to management, and negotiate priorities and timelines realistically.
- Identify recurring problems and propose — not build — data or systems solutions, working with the Strategy and Data & Technology teams to get them built.
- Write detailed business and functional requirement documents for the Data & Technology team, covering data sources, logic, edge cases, and what “done” looks like.

Qualification:

Preferred Background

- 3-5 years of experience, ideally including time working directly for or with a founder, promoter, or business owner in an unstructured environment — an SME, family business, or founder-led company.
- A demonstrated ability to hold senior people accountable using data and persistence, not positional authority.
- High tolerance for ambiguity, fast pivots, and a management style that can be direct and demanding.
- Robust Excel/Sheets fluency — comfortable being the numbers person in the room, not just the messenger.
- A background in logistics, trading, manufacturing, or another asset-heavy, execution-intensive industry is a plus.
