Location: India Home-based initially
Salary: 6 to 10 lakhs INR per annum depending on experience + performance-related bonus
Reports to: Commercial Director, Fumecare Ltd (UK)
About the Role
This role combines global product management, new product development and digital marketing for Fumecare's laboratory and forensic equipment range. You will take ownership of our existing product portfolio, identify opportunities to develop, source and introduce new products, and oversee Fumecare's global digital marketing and lead-generation activities. You will research markets and competitors, identify gaps in our range, help develop the commercial proposition for new products, and work with our UK management, engineering and production teams, as well as external suppliers where appropriate, to bring approved opportunities to market.
You will also continually improve the quality and consistency of our product presentations and marketing materials.
It suits a commercially minded, technically capable self-starter who can think strategically about what products Fumecare should offer while remaining hands-on enough to create and execute the marketing activity needed to generate demand for them.
Key Responsibilities
Global marketing & lead generation
- Develop and own the global digital marketing strategy across the UK and international markets
- Run digital marketing across SEO, the website, LinkedIn, email and campaigns to generate qualified leads for the sales team
- Build and manage lead-generation campaigns feeding the sales team, using tools such as Apollo, Expandi or Sales Navigator
- Manage Fumecare's website content, brand consistency and analytics, and report on marketing performance
- Produce case studies, technical content and campaigns that build Fumecare's authority in laboratory safety and forensics
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns to support new product launches across UK and international markets
Product management
- Own the product portfolio and roadmap, identifying gaps and opportunities to grow and strengthen the range
- Research competitor product ranges, specifications, pricing and market positioning to identify gaps and commercial opportunities for Fumecare
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for new Fumecare-manufactured products, product variants and accessories, as well as complementary third-party and OEM/private-label products
- Source, evaluate and introduce suitable third-party and OEM/private-label products to complement and expand Fumecare's existing range, including products manufactured externally and sold under the Fumecare brand, with management approval
- Develop initial commercial proposals for current products, whether manufactured by Fumecare, sourced from third parties or private-labelled, considering customer need, target market, competitor offering, proposed features/specification, target pricing and commercial potential
- Work with management, as well as external suppliers where appropriate, to progress approved new product opportunities through development, sourcing and commercial launch
- Continually improve and maintain product presentations, datasheets and sales materials to a high, consistent standard
- Work with the management to ensure product positioning and materials support winning business
- Keep product information, pricing and marketing collateral accurate and up to date

- Strong digital marketing skills across SEO, website, LinkedIn, email and paid campaigns
- Experience of lead generation and lead-generation tools such as Apollo, Expandi or Sales Navigator
- A commercial, product-minded approach, able to evaluate and introduce new products, not just market existing ones
- Experience of, or demonstrable ability to, research and evaluate third-party suppliers, OEM/private-label products and new product opportunities
- Confident content creator with a strong eye for presentation quality and brand consistency
- A self-starter able to build and execute marketing and product-development plans independently
- Good working experience with a CRM such as Zoho, and marketing/analytics tools
- Fluent written and spoken English, and ability to work hours that overlap the UK working day
Desirable
- A scientific or technical degree, or experience marketing scientific/laboratory equipment
