Job Overview

GENERAL ASSEMBLY PROCESS AND STANDARDS ENGINEER - Responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining reliable and capable production/business processes as they pertain to equipment, facilities and tooling functionality following the World Class Manufacturing model.

- Maintains both machine and equipment capabilities and reliability as they relate to safety, throughput,



quality, equipment integrity and for monitoring/correcting related issues of assembly, body-in-white and torque tooling.
- Coordinates the development and documentation of Manufacturing Engineering GA processes through the creation and revisions of specifications.
- Incorporates logistic standards and global best practices for quality and safety.
- Reviews standards prepared with other departmental specialists to assure consistency with existing standards and those in other specialized disciplines.
- Cultivates and supports the growth GA process road map.
- Contributes to initiatives in Cost Deployment, Innovation, Early Program Management, Manufacturing Planning, Early Equipment Management, Process Design, Digital Manufacturing, Focused Improvement, Manufacturing Program Management and People Development
- Solves Manufacturing problems using SPW methodology (Focused Improvement)
- Participates in the development and implementation of manufacturing solutions through Innovation initiatives.
