Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

- Deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain cloud and on-premise infrastructure.

- Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability across environments.

- Manage application log backups and routine maintenance activities.

Troubleshooting Root Cause Analysis

- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve system issues.

- Perform full root cause analysis to understand the origin of every issue, not just the symptom.

- Configure and troubleshoot load balancers (Nginx experience is a plus).

- Troubleshoot networking issues including routing, connectivity, and VPN.

Escalation Collaboration

- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers) with complete diagnostic context.

- Work with development teams in an agile delivery environment.

Documentation

- Document technical knowledge in the form of notes, runbooks, and manuals.

Required Skills

Technical - Mandatory

- 4-6 years of professional experience as a DevOps / System Engineer.

- Fluency in Python, including Python testing best practices.

- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS managed products and services: EC2, ECS, EKS, ECR, Route 53, SES, ElastiCache, RDS, Redshift, CloudFormation.

- Strong experience with automation tooling: Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins.

- Strong experience with containers: Docker, Kubernetes.

- Strong experience with managed and self-hosted CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, Travis, Drone, Mule, Spinnaker.





- Strong understanding of DNS, TCPDUMP, CDNs, SSL, Git, firewalls, and networking concepts (VPC, subnetting, VPNs).

- Experience deploying microservice architectures, applications, and supporting services.

- Experience working on high-traffic, international systems.

- Familiarity with software security best practices.

- Understanding of monitoring tools: PagerDuty, CloudWatch, Datadog, Sentry, Prometheus, Icinga.

- Experience working in and advocating for agile environments.

Technical - Good to Have

- AWS Solution Architect / Professional certification (preferred).

- Experience with large-scale decoupled, service-oriented systems.

- Experience with distributed systems and databases (SQL, NoSQL, cache).

- Stream processing (Kafka), message queuing (RabbitMQ), and search/analytics platforms (ELK).

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
