About Silver StoreySilver Storey Quantum Pvt Ltd is a growing Architecture, Interior Design, Construction and Turnkey Execution company.

We are building a high-performance design and execution organization focused on premium residential interiors, turnkey projects and large-scale design-build work.

As we scale, we are looking for a Design Manager – Interior Design & Design Operations who can take ownership of the design team's day-to-day functioning, quality, timelines and coordination.

This is not a purely design-production role.

We are looking for someone who can lead designers, control design workflows, manage deliverables and ensure that projects move from client brief to execution-ready documentation without delays or quality gaps.

The ROLE

The Design Manager will be responsible for managing the complete design workflow from client brief through design development, 3D approval, 2D/GFC drawings, material specifications and final design handover to the execution team.

You will work closely with:

- Design & Creative Head
- Senior Interior Designers
- Visualisation Team
- Draftsman / Technical Designers
- BOQ / QS Team
- Procurement Team
- Project Managers
- Operations Team
- Clients

The primary objective is to ensure: Right Design + Right Documentation + Right Timeline + Right Handover

Key Responsibilities1. Design Team Management

- Manage and allocate work across the interior design team.
- Monitor workload and project allocation for each designer.
- Set priorities and deadlines for design deliverables.
- Conduct regular design reviews.
- Ensure designers follow Silver Storey's standard design workflow.
- Identify bottlenecks before they affect project timelines.
- Support and mentor junior and senior designers.




- Ensure accountability for every design deliverable.

- Design Workflow ManagementOwn and monitor the design journey:

Lead / Client Brief → Design Meeting → BOQ → 3D Design → Design Freeze → 2D/GFC Drawings → Validation → Drawing Freeze → Project Handover

Ensure every stage has:

- Clear owner
- Defined deadline
- Client approval
- Proper documentation
- Internal validation
- Controlled revisions

No project should move to the next stage without the required approval or documentation.
- Client & Design Quality
- Review important design presentations before they reach clients.
- Ensure design quality and consistency across projects.
- Participate in critical client meetings where required.
- Help designers resolve difficult client requirements.
- Ensure client expectations are aligned with project budget and scope.
- Control unnecessary design revisions.
- Escalate major client/design issues to the Design Head.

- Technical Design CoordinationWork closely with technical/design production resources to ensure:

- Accurate 2D drawings
- GFC drawings
- Furniture drawings
- Ceiling drawings
- Electrical coordination
- Plumbing coordination
- Joinery details
- Material specifications
- Hardware specifications
- Execution-ready documentation

The Design Manager must ensure that the execution team receives drawings that are clear, coordinated and usable on site.

- BOQ & Commercial CoordinationCoordinate with QS / BOQ / Commercial teams to ensure:

- Design decisions are reflected in BOQ.
- Materials and specifications are correctly documented.




- Design changes are communicated commercially.
- Client upgrades/downgrades are captured.
- Scope gaps are identified before execution.
- Design does not unnecessarily increase project cost.

The Design Manager does not replace the QS or Commercial team, but must ensure that design and commercial information remain aligned.

- Material & Product Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchase and Category/Product teams.
- Ensure specified materials are available or approved.
- Maintain approved material/finish references.
- Prevent last-minute substitutions wherever possible.
- Ensure designers work within approved project budgets.
- Develop standardised material and hardware libraries where required.

- Design Freeze & HandoverThe Design Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are properly frozen before execution.

Before handover, verify:
- 3D design approved
- Drawings completed
- Material selections approved
- BOQ aligned
- Design changes incorporated
- Client approvals documented
- Drawing revisions controlled
- Execution team has received the latest documents

Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who has:
- 7–12 years of relevant interior design experience.
- Robust residential interior design experience.
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing or mentoring designers.
- Strong understanding of design development.
- Excellent AutoCAD knowledge.
- Strong understanding of 3D design workflows.
- Understanding of BOQ and project costing.
- Strong material and hardware knowledge.
- Excellent client communication skills.
- Strong coordination ability.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
- Ability to identify and solve design bottlenecks.

Experience in turnkey interior projects will be highly preferred. Experience in a structured interior design/build company is an advantage.
