Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to support the design and development of testing machines. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD for creating 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation while contributing to continuous product improvement.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and sheet metal components using SolidWorks

Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks

Develop and update engineering drawings with proper GD&T;, dimensions, and tolerances

Assist in design validation, engineering calculations, and feasibility studies

Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Coordinate with production, service, and quality teams for design improvements

Incorporate feedback from the shop floor and field service into design revisions

Ensure designs comply with engineering standards,



manufacturing requirements, and safety guidelines

Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, and engineering change records (ECRs)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

High accuracy in design drawings with minimal errors

Timely completion of assigned design projects

Effective coordination with production and manufacturing teams

Reduction in design-related rework and manufacturing issues

Quality, completeness, and organization of engineering documentation

Preferred Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering

0-2 years of experience in machine design or a related field

Proficiency/Knowledge in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (mandatory)

Good understanding of mechanical components, fasteners, assemblies, and machine design

Familiarity with manufacturing processes, fabrication drawings, machining, and sheet metal design

Basic knowledge of GD&T; and engineering standards is preferred

Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
