Role & responsibilities :-
Deputy Process Engineering
Position: Deputy Process Engineering
Department: Process Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering
Industry: Automotive / Auto Components
Location: Faridabad
Reporting To: Head/Manager Process Engineering
Experience:
Appx 10 Yrs. Experience in Fastener Industries/ Cold Forged / Automotive Components industries / Heat Treatment & Surface Finishing Industries with Expert in Heat Treatment and Surface Finishing process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Development
- Develop and establish manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Prepare and maintain process flow charts, work instructions, process parameters, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct process feasibility studies for current products and engineering changes.
1. Process Improvement
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce cycle time.
- Drive Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
- Analyze process losses, rejection, rework, downtime, and material wastage and implement corrective actions.
1. New Product Development (NPD)
- Support new product development and new process implementation from concept to production.
- Coordinate with Design, Quality, Production, Tool Room, Maintenance, and Purchase teams for successful product launches.
- Support APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, and process validation activities.
1. Process Quality & Control
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet defined quality standards and customer requirements.
- Identify potential process risks and support PFMEA updates and corrective/preventive actions.
- Conduct process capability studies and establish appropriate process controls.
1. Tooling & Equipment
- Coordinate for development and modification of tools, fixtures, dies, gauges, and process equipment.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams for tool/equipment trials and validation.
- Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements for process reliability.
1. Cost & Productivity
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, productivity improvement, and manpower optimization.
- Monitor process KPIs such as cycle time, OEE, rejection, rework, downtime, and line efficiency.
- Implement projects to reduce manufacturing cost and improve overall process effectiveness.
