Key responsibilities Profile and map the Co-Pilot data model to Navigator field by field; agree profiling and cleansing rules with the data owners. Build the ETL once as a reusable, version-controlled pipeline, then execute it in waves. Run three to four incremental trial loads at production scale in pre-production, each bigger and closer to the real thing.
Reconcile every load record counts, financial and compliance spot checks and carry a named business sign-off per data set. Scope the pipeline to whichever archive option Whitbread chooses: foundation and seed data only for a read-only archive; plus transaction history if history is migrated into Navigator; or a one-way transfer to low-cost storage. Execute the final delta load at cutover from the rehearsed runbook.
Essential skills and experience Three-Six years or more data-engineering migration, with robust ETL design and SQL, ideally on Azure Data services. Demonstrable production-scale migration experience, including trial loads, reconciliation and business sign-off. Comfort with both relational and document targets and with data cleansing and mapping from a messy source.
Discipline around evidence: reconciliation packs, not assurances.
Desirable
Migration off Nintex K2 or a comparable low-code platform.
Experience of compliance records-retention data for example accident and RIDDOR records.
