Data Governance Lead

Role Overview

Establishes and enforces decentralized data governance, data domain ownership, and compliance mechanisms across the up-to-date Databricks Lakehouse architecture.

Roles & Responsibilities

Define domain-wise Data Mesh governance policies, data contracts, and data domain boundaries.

Collaborate and work closely with the Enterprise Governance team to adhere to the Enterprise Governance standards and policies

Design and implement federated governance using Databricks Unity Catalog

Establish automated data lineage tracking and compliance auditing via Unity Catalog System Tables to meet regulatory standards

Key Skills Required

Governance Platforms: Databricks Unity Catalog, Azure Purview / Microsoft Purview

Security & Compliance:



Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Data Masking, Tokenization, Data Privacy regulations.

Architecture: Data Mesh Principles, Data Contracts, Metadata Management, Data Lineage.

Technical: SQL, Azure Entra ID integration, REST APIs
