About the Role

We're hiring a Data Entry Specialist to support our RCM operations by accurately entering, validating, and cleaning healthcare claims and billing data. You'll work closely with our operations and AI teams to keep patient, claims, and payer data accurate — data that directly feeds the AI systems our clients depend on to get paid faster and avoid denials. This is not routine transcription; you're a quality gatekeeper for data that touches real financial and clinical outcomes.

What You'll Do

- Enter and update claims, patient demographic, and billing data into internal systems and client EHR/practice management platforms
- Cross-check data against source documents (superbills, EOBs, payer remittances) for accuracy before submission
- Flag discrepancies, missing fields, or coding mismatches to the relevant team instead of letting them pass through
- Maintain data integrity standards required for downstream AI coding, billing,



and denial-management workflows
- Track daily/weekly entry volumes and error rates against internal quality benchmarks
- Follow HIPAA and internal data-handling protocols at all times when working with protected health information (PHI)

What We're Looking For

- 0-1 year of experience in data entry, medical billing, or healthcare administrative support (healthcare/RCM experience strongly preferred)
- High accuracy and attention to detail — this role is measured on error rate, not just speed
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting with minimal oversight
- Basic familiarity with medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 codes, or EHR systems is a plus (Epic, Cerner, athenahealth, etc.)
- Reliable typing speed (40+ WPM) and comfort with spreadsheet tools (Excel/Google Sheets)
- Strong written communication for flagging issues clearly to teammates

Remote Work Requirements

- Own laptop/desktop meeting minimum specs (to be defined by IT — recommend 8GB+ RAM, updated OS, antivirus)
- Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps recommended)
- A private, quiet workspace suitable for handling confidential patient data
- Compliance with CombineHealth's data security policy, including mandatory full-disk encryption, screen lock, and no use of public/unsecured Wi-Fi for work tasks (required given exposure to PHI)
