About the RoleWe are looking for an OSCP-certified cybersecurity professional who enjoys penetration testing, investigating vulnerabilities, and exploring how AI can support security research.

You will help develop and evaluate AI-powered VAPT capabilities by testing internal systems, building lab scenarios, validating exploitation techniques, and collaborating with AI and engineering teams.

This is an internal research and product development role. Responsibilities are limited to our products, internal systems, and approved testing environments. The position does not involve client-facing VAPT delivery or consulting assignments.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform hands-on penetration testing and black-box assessments across internal applications, APIs, networks, and lab machines.
- Research vulnerabilities, exploitation techniques, privilege escalation, and attack chains.

- Explore how AI can interpret reconnaissance results, identify potential weaknesses, select testing steps, and adapt to results.
- Build controlled lab scenarios and reproducible proof-of-concept tests for evaluating AI-assisted exploitation.
- Validate AI-generated findings and attack paths, identifying false positives, missed vulnerabilities, and unsupported conclusions.
- Collaborate with developers to turn manual penetration testing methods into repeatable product workflows.
- Develop scripts and integrate security tools to support testing and research.
- Document experiments, evidence, limitations, and recommendations for product improvement.

Mandatory Requirements
- OSCP certification is a minimum requirement. Candidates without OSCP will not be considered.
- 1–2 years of relevant hands-on cybersecurity experience, with a maximum of 2 years.
- Practical knowledge of vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, exploitation, and privilege escalation.
- Understanding of Linux, Windows, networking, HTTP, web applications, and APIs.
- Familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, and common command-line security utilities.
- Basic scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong interest in AI-powered cybersecurity, security research, VAPT automation, and AI-assisted red teaming.
- Ability to investigate independently, reproduce findings, and explain technical results clearly.
- Discipline to conduct all testing within authorized scope.

Prior professional AI or machine-learning experience is not required. Strong security fundamentals and a willingness to learn are essential.

Good to Have

- Active participation in Hack The Box, TryHackMe, CTFs, or personal security labs.
- Research write-ups, responsible disclosures, security scripts, or relevant GitHub projects.
- Exposure to LLMs, AI agents, tool calling, APIs, or workflow automation.
- Familiarity with Git and basic software development practices.
- Interest in testing the security and reliability of AI systems themselves.

What You Will Learn at SecNinjazThrough hands-on contributions to internal research and product development, you will gain experience in:
- AI-assisted penetration testing: Understanding how AI agents use tools, interpret results, and decide what to test next.
- Exploitation research: Investigating why exploits succeed or fail and reproducing attack chains in controlled environments.
- AI evaluation: Comparing AI-driven testing with manual results and measuring accuracy, coverage, and reproducibility.
- Security automation: Connecting scripts, APIs, and testing tools into repeatable workflows.
- Product engineering: Translating research findings into features, test cases, and improvements to a security product.
- Technical research communication: Producing clear documentation that helps engineers understand and act on security findings.

Who Should Apply? This role is suited to someone who enjoys solving challenging lab machines, understanding how vulnerabilities work, and experimenting beyond standard testing checklists. You should be curious about how AI can reason through security problems and motivated to help build and improve an AI-powered cybersecurity product.

Application RequirementsPlease share

- Your updated CV and OSCP certification details.
- Relevant research, lab write-ups, scripts, or GitHub links, if available.
- A brief note explaining your interest in AI-powered cybersecurity research.
- Your expected compensation and notice period or availability.
