Role Description The Cyber Security Engineer role at AgenticOrbitX is a full-time, hybrid position based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements.

The Cyber Security

Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security controls across applications, networks, and information systems supporting AI-powered automation solutions. Daily responsibilities include performing vulnerability assessments, monitoring security events, investigating incidents, and collaborating with engineering teams to remediate risks and enforce secure development practices. The role also involves developing security policies and standards, conducting security reviews of recent features and integrations, and staying current with emerging threats and industry best practices.

Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that client environments and internal platforms remain secure, compliant, and resilient.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including security architecture, risk management, and incident response.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, such as firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention, and secure network design.
- Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including secure coding practices, code review, and security testing of web and API-based applications.
- Candidates should possess experience with Vulnerability Assessment, including scanning tools, vulnerability analysis, and remediation planning.
- Relevant experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP) and familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or similar) is beneficial.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, endpoint protection solutions, and security automation (SOAR, scripting) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear written and verbal communication abilities, and capacity to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; professional certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, or similar are a plus.
