About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled OT Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic team at Andor Tech (India) Pvt Ltd. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our clients' Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and other critical operational technology environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical understanding of cybersecurity principles within industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) domains.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls aligned with industry standards such as IEC 62443, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical infrastructure assets. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex cybersecurity challenges, deploying advanced security tools, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with global standards.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant OT Cybersecurity experience ranging from 6 to 10 years.
- Proficiency in configuring Linux operating systems, deploying security agents, and executing technical security controls.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools, penetration testing,



and security analysis specific to ICS environments.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation, especially within the Purdue Model framework for OT environments.
- Deep knowledge of industrial messaging protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, and ZMQ.
- Familiarity with standards like NERC CIP and IEC 62443, with the ability to translate compliance requirements into technical controls.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools like Python and Ansible for deployment and data parsing tasks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to innovate in complex cybersecurity scenarios.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement security controls in compliance with IEC 62443-3-3, 4-1, and 4-2 standards, ensuring robust security postures for BESS and other OT systems.
- Map and align security controls with industry standards, validating their effectiveness through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Configure and deploy security tools such as Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems, including Authentik with RADIUS, LDAP, and SAML integrations.
- Establish centralized logging infrastructure utilizing Rsyslog and Wazuh to aggregate and analyze security events across various hardware and software components.
- Conduct OT-secure vulnerability assessments using tools like Tenable and Wazuh,



identifying potential security gaps and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Configure and validate backup and disaster recovery policies using Bacula within OT and DMZ zones to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Execute host hardening on operating systems (Ubuntu), container environments (Docker), and network devices, adhering to CIS Benchmarks and vendor best practices.
- Secure OT communication protocols including MQTT, Modbus, and ZMQ, implementing appropriate security measures for each protocol.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security policies, incident response plans, and compliance documentation.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, continuously enhancing security measures and practices.
