: Cyber Resilience

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Resilience professional to lead and strengthen the organizations ability to prepare for, withstand, respond to, recover from, and adapt to cyber incidents.

The role will focus on developing and maintaining a comprehensive cyber resilience framework covering cyber incident preparedness, business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, ransomware resilience, backup and recovery, technology resilience, third-party resilience, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Cloud, Application, IT Operations, Risk, Compliance, Business Continuity, and senior business stakeholders to ensure that critical services can continue operating or be recovered within agreed business requirements following a cyber disruption.

Key Responsibilities

Cyber Resilience Strategy & Framework

- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organizations Cyber Resilience strategy and operating model.
- Establish cyber resilience policies, standards, processes, controls, and governance.
- Align cyber resilience capabilities with business objectives, risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and industry valuable practices.
- Define resilience requirements for critical business services, applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and data.

Cyber Incident Preparedness & Response

- Partner with Security Operations and Incident Response teams to ensure effective preparedness for major cyber incidents.
- Develop and maintain cyber incident response and recovery playbooks, including scenarios such as:

- Ransomware and destructive malware

- Data compromise

- Identity compromise

- Cloud compromise
- Privileged-account compromise

- Critical application outage
- Third-party/supply-chain cyber incidents
- Establish clear escalation, decision-making, communication, and crisis-management procedures.





Recovery & Ransomware Resilience

- Define and validate recovery strategies for critical systems and services.
- Assess the resilience of backup, recovery, replication, and restoration capabilities.
- Ensure appropriate protection of backup infrastructure, including isolation/immutability where required.
- Lead or support cyber recovery exercises and validate Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
- Identify gaps between theoretical recovery capabilities and actual recoverability.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

- Integrate cybersecurity requirements into Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) programs.
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and cyber resilience assessments for critical services.
- Ensure recovery plans address cyber-specific dependencies, including identity, privileged access, DNS, certificates, networking, security tooling, and third-party services.
- Coordinate regular DR and cyber recovery testing.

Testing, Exercises & Continuous Improvement

- Design and conduct tabletop exercises, cyber crisis simulations, technical recovery exercises, and red/blue team-informed resilience tests.
- Measure recovery performance against agreed RTO/RPO and business service requirements.
- Capture lessons learned and track remediation through to closure.
- Establish metrics and dashboards to report cyber resilience maturity and risk to senior management.

Third-Party & Supply-Chain Resilience

- Assess cyber resilience requirements for critical suppliers, service providers, SaaS platforms, cloud providers, and technology partners.
- Define minimum resilience and recovery requirements for third parties.
- Support third-party cyber incident preparedness and coordinated recovery exercises.

Risk, Compliance & Governance

- Identify, assess, and manage cyber resilience risks and control gaps.
- Maintain appropriate risk registers, exception processes, remediation plans, and management reporting.




- Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments.
- Ensure alignment with applicable cybersecurity and resilience regulations and standards.

Stakeholder Management

- Work with senior technology, cybersecurity, risk, business, and executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-functional crisis and recovery decision-making.
- Translate complex technical resilience risks into clear business and executive-level recommendations.
- Develop executive-level reporting on resilience posture, risks, incidents, and improvement plans.

Required Experience

- 812+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT risk, technology resilience, disaster recovery, business continuity, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrable experience in cyber resilience, cyber recovery, incident response, or technology resilience.
- Experience designing and implementing resilience frameworks across large and complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of ransomware resilience, backup/recovery, identity, infrastructure, cloud, networks, applications, and data protection.
- Experience leading cyber crisis simulations, tabletop exercises, and technical recovery testing.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional technology and business teams.
- Experience with third-party and supply-chain risk/resilience is highly desirable.
