CNC Turner Operator – Roles & Responsibilities

- Operate CNC turning/lathes to manufacture components as per engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Perform machine setup, job loading, chucking, tool setting, and workpiece alignment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T; requirements.
- Set and adjust tool offsets, work offsets, cutting parameters, and tool wear compensation.
- Monitor machining operations and maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Monitor tool condition and tool life, replacing or adjusting tools when required.
- Identify and report dimensional deviations, tool breakage, machine abnormalities, and quality issues.




- Maintain machine cleanliness, 5S, coolant condition, tooling, and protected operating practices.
- Maintain production, inspection, tool-life, and traceability records and support productivity and continuous improvement activities.
