Key Responsibilities

Managerial Service Governance

- Act as first-level analyst for any datacenter-related requirement or concern raised by other departments.

- Ensure all datacenter-related calls are handled within SLA, diagnosed accurately, responded to promptly, and tracked through to closure.

- Maintain and monitor all evidence and artifacts captured for audit purposes.

- Provide all relevant data for dashboards covering datacenter-related measurements.

- Monitor day-to-day datacenter operational tasks performed by both the internal team and vendors.

Linux Virtualisation

- Provide L2/L3 support in Linux administration, including clustering and OS management.

- Manage the OpenStack setup and handle all L1-L2 level queries.

AWS Cloud Management

- Manage and maintain AWS cloud services including EC2, EBS, S3, VPC, and RDS, with specialised expertise in VPN tunnelling.

- Design and administer AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts and regions.

- Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform.

- Automate AWS provisioning and operational tasks using AWS CLI, Python, or shell scripting.

Cloud Networking

- Configure and troubleshoot VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, and VPN.

- Manage VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Internet/NAT Gateways, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, PrivateLink, VPN, and Direct Connect.

Monitoring Security Tooling

- Work with CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, SIEM, network monitoring, and enterprise monitoring platforms.

Backup Recovery

- Administer backups using EMC Networker, including image-based and module-based backups.





- Execute and validate DR restorations.

Datacenter Operations

- Manage and maintain datacenter operations including commissioning and decommissioning of servers, storage, and devices.

- Conduct installation and evaluation tasks for recent server or infrastructure applications, coordinating with all internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills

Technical - Critical

- Hands-on AWS cloud experience.

- Linux administration, including KVM and OpenStack.

- Datacenter management: SAN storage, HP/IBM chassis and blades, enterprise servers.

- Backup tools (EMC Networker or equivalent).

- Virtualisation: Red Hat, VMware.

Technical - Essential

- Hardware troubleshooting across servers and SAN storage.

- Exposure to other cloud platforms (Azure, OCI).

- Basic database knowledge.

Technical - Good to Have

- Patch management.

- Monitoring tools.

- Core networking concepts.

Functional / Behavioural

- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and perform under pressure.

- Effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, with tact, consideration, and clarity.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

- Relevant cloud or Linux certifications (AWS, RHCE) are an advantage.
