About The Position

Are you ready to take your career to the next level with a company that’s shaping communities across the eastern United States? VHB’s Virginia offices are looking for a Civil/ Site Designer to join our dynamic and growing Land Development and Planning & Design team.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with talented professionals across diverse disciplines, gaining exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope. Our clients include leaders in commercial and residential development, industrial and hospitality sectors (including amusement parks), municipal and local governments, federal agencies like the National Park Service, Army Corps of Engineers, and State DOTs. Responsibilities

- Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of complex land development projects
- Civil engineering design and permitting of residential, industrial, hospitality, institutional and commercial sites including grading and drainage, utilities,roadways and parking
- Preparing plans and reports in support of State and local permitting

- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

- Ability to think critically and creatively

Qualifications

- BS in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0-1 years of engineering experience
- AutoCAD, HydroCAD and StormCAD experience (preferred)
- Competent with Microsoft Office products

The full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in Virginia, is $73,000 to $76,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.

Annual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
