Position: Chief Strategy & Growth Executive

About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Chief Strategy & Growth Executive to lead enterprise-level strategy, business growth and strategic transformation for a leading Tier-1 automotive component organization.
The role will be based out of Manesar and will work closely with the MD/CEO, Business Heads and senior leadership team to shape and execute the organization's medium- and long-term growth agenda.
The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of corporate strategy, business analytics, financial understanding, customer/OEM orientation and execution governance. This is a high-impact role for a leader who can move beyond strategy formulation to translate strategic priorities into measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Strategy & Business Planning
- Partner with the MD/CEO and leadership team to develop and execute the organization's 35 year strategic roadmap.
- Translate organizational vision into clear business priorities, strategic initiatives and execution plans.
- Lead the annual strategic planning and operating-plan process across businesses/functions.
- Evaluate growth opportunities across products, customers, technologies, geographies and adjacent markets.
- Develop strategic scenarios and recommendations for management decision-making.
1. Growth Strategy & New Business Development
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for organic growth, customer expansion, product diversification and new market entry.
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations and Finance to build growth plans and ensure execution.
- Analyze customer, product, market and competitor trends to identify emerging opportunities.
- Support strategic customer and OEM engagements, including opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
- Develop business cases for recent programs, investments, capacity expansion, localization and technology initiatives.
1. Profitability & Financial Strategy
- Partner with Finance and Business Heads to improve revenue quality, contribution margins and overall profitability.
- Develop analytical frameworks for product/customer profitability, cost structures, capacity utilization and business performance.
- Challenge business assumptions and support leadership in making fact-based investment and resource-allocation decisions.
- Participate in budgeting,
forecasting and long-range financial planning from a strategic perspective.
1. Enterprise Performance & Governance
- Establish a robust strategy-to-execution governance mechanism with clear KPIs, milestones, ownership and review cadence.
- Develop executive dashboards and management review systems that provide visibility into business performance and strategic initiatives.
- Identify gaps, risks and emerging issues and drive timely corrective action with functional and business leaders.
- Institutionalize a culture of data-driven decision-making and accountability.
1. Strategic Transformation
- Lead or coordinate enterprise-wide transformation initiatives covering operational excellence, digital transformation, Industry 4.0, analytics, cost transformation and organizational effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, decision systems and organizational productivity.
- Ensure that transformation initiatives deliver measurable business impact rather than remaining technology or process projects.
1. Market, Customer & Competitive Intelligence
- Build a structured understanding of OEM strategies, market trends, technology shifts, competitive positioning and industry developments.
- Assess the impact of EVs, lightweighting, automation, localization, sustainability and other industry trends on the company's future portfolio.
- Develop periodic strategic intelligence reports for the senior management team.
- Identify potential risks to existing businesses and recommend strategic responses.
1. Board & Senior Management Support
- Prepare and present strategic reviews, business performance insights and strategic recommendations for the MD/CEO, Board and Promoters.
- Develop fact-based presentations and decision papers for major investments, strategic initiatives and business opportunities.
- Act as a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership, bringing an independent and enterprise-wide perspective.
1. Cross-functional Leadership
- Work horizontally across Sales, Finance, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR and Digital/IT.
- Influence senior stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.
- Build cross-functional teams for strategic projects and ensure timely closure of critical initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 20+ years of overall experience, with significant exposure to strategy,
business transformation, corporate planning, business performance or strategic consulting.
- Experience in automotive / auto components / manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Should have worked closely with MDs, CEOs, CXOs, Promoters and/or Boards.
- Strong understanding of the automotive value chain, preferably with exposure to Tier-1 automotive component businesses and OEM customers.
- Demonstrated experience in translating data and business intelligence into strategic decisions and measurable business outcomes.
- Strong financial acumen, including understanding of P&L;, margins, cost structures, capital allocation, business cases and investment decisions.
- Experience in leading enterprise-level transformation or strategic initiatives.
- Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Should be comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-paced promoter-led or professionally managed manufacturing environment.
- Ability to move seamlessly between strategy, analysis and execution.
