Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CAD Draftsman 2D/3D – Design Engineer role based in Chennai. The role involves preparing detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models for material handling equipment, including conveyors and loaders, using CAD software. The individual will interpret technical specifications, prepare engineering and fabrication drawings, and ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

Daily tasks include coordinating with design and production teams, updating drawings based on feedback, and maintaining organized documentation of all design files.



The role also involves supporting design improvements, assisting in layout planning, and contributing to the timely completion of projects.

Qualifications

- Robust skills in Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawings, with the ability to interpret and produce precise fabrication and assembly documents.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for 2D and 3D modeling, with hands-on experience in industry-standard CAD tools.
- Ability to create and adapt Drawing and Architectural Drawings relevant to equipment layouts, plant spaces, and installation plans.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in machinery or material handling equipment design is highly beneficial.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow engineering standards and safety guidelines.
