Job Summary
Your Role: Privacy Risk Analyst. As a Privacy Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for driving operational privacy risk initiatives, supporting risk assessments, and ensuring effective implementation of privacy controls across the organization. This is a full-time role suited for professionals with hands-on experience in privacy risk, compliance, and data protection frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct privacy risk assessments for new product developments and business initiatives, identifying risks and recommending mitigation controls
- Review Risk Assessment Questionnaires (RAQs) and follow up with stakeholders on implementation of recommended controls
- Perform third-party privacy risk assessments in collaboration with cybersecurity teams and prepare risk reports
- Support risk owners with guidance on risk treatment strategies including mitigation, avoidance, transfer, or acceptance
- Monitor and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to relevant stakeholders and committees
- Analyze privacy risks at transaction and operational levels, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
- Track progress of risk remediation plans and evaluate effectiveness of implemented controls
- Contribute to improving privacy risk frameworks, including updating risk registers and assessment methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Technology, Customer Service, and Data Governance on privacy initiatives
- Drive awareness and adoption of privacy best practices across business units
Requirements
Mandatory
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Law, or a related field
- 35 years of experience in privacy risk, data protection, or information security domains
- Strong understanding of global data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, etc.
- Experience in conducting privacy risk assessments and implementing risk management frameworks
- Robust analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle escalations effectively
Preferred
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPT, AIGP, or similar privacy certifications
- Experience working with AI systems from a privacy and security standpoint
- Familiarity with privacy risk tools, audit processes, and governance frameworks
