Qualifications

- 3 to 7 years of Java programming experience, with:
- Robust understanding of Data Structures
- Java 8 fundamentals - collections, concurrency, streams
- Spring Boot 2.7.x+ (Web, Validation, Security via OAuth2/JWT, Actuator)
- REST API design - resource modeling, pagination, filtering, sorting and versioning
- JPA/Hibernate - mapping, criteria, transaction management, N+1 avoidance, caching
- Apache Camel - route DSL, EIPs (content-based routing, splitter/aggregator), error handling, retry with backoff, idempotent consumer, Camel components for HTTP, JMS/Kafka, File/SFTP
- SQL proficiency on Oracle/PostgreSQL, including query tuning and indexing
- Testing with JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers or embedded DB, REST Assured
- Maven-based build and dependency management,



including BOMs and CVE handling
- Observability - JSON logging, metrics, tracing, Actuator endpoints
- Git workflows, branching and merge strategies
- OWASP Top 10 knowledge and secure coding practices
- Caching and session management (Hazelcast or Redis)

Preferred Skills
- Kafka, JMS, and DLQ strategies
- Jenkins pipelines, Docker basics, Kubernetes familiarity
- API Gateways and rate limiting
- Message schemas and contract testing (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, Pact)
- Feature flags, blue-green or canary deployments
