About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Backend Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru on a full-time, on-site basis. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and optimizing our backend systems that power the Runable platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with front-end developers to build seamless, scalable, and robust software solutions that meet the agile needs of our users.

You will be responsible for ensuring smooth system integrations, enhancing system performance, and contributing to the overall technical architecture of our product. Working in a fast-paced startup environment, you will have the opportunity to influence product development at a foundational level, supporting our rapid growth and innovation objectives.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in backend web development and software engineering,



with a solid understanding of modern development frameworks and tools.

Key qualifications include proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Bun, along with at least two years of experience working in a startup environment, ideally from seed to IPO stage. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to tackling complex technical challenges. Open source contributions are considered a plus, reflecting a passion for community engagement and continuous learning.

Candidates must be willing to work on-site in Bengaluru full-time, embracing the collaborative and dynamic nature of our startup culture.

Responsibilities

As a Backend Engineer at Runable, your responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable backend architectures that support our diverse AI-powered content creation tools. You will develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring high performance and reliability. Collaborating with front-end developers, you will integrate backend services with user-facing applications, maintaining a seamless user experience. You will also be responsible for optimizing database schemas, managing server infrastructure, and implementing security best practices to safeguard user data. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews,



contribute to technical documentation, and stay updated with emerging technologies to continually improve our platform.

Your role will be instrumental in supporting our rapid growth, ensuring that our backend systems can handle millions of users and high-volume transactions efficiently.
