The Role
We are hiring an Associate – Quality Engineering to take responsibility for Eloit’s Quality Engineering function across Edisapp, Kristapp, BibleOn, Credisapp, and future products.
This is an Associate role at Eloit, reporting directly to the Associate Vice President – Excellence. The role involves planning and executing testing activities, identifying and tracking defects, supporting automation initiatives, and working closely with development and business teams to ensure reliable and high-quality software delivery.
The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in software testing, valuable analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and preventing quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and other relevant testing activities across web and mobile applications.
- Test Planning & Execution: Analyse requirements, identify test scenarios, prepare test cases, execute test plans, and document test results.
- Automation Testing: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar technologies.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- API & Database Testing:
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar platforms and carry out basic database validation using SQL.
- Regression & Release Testing: Conduct regression testing and support release validation to ensure new changes do not impact existing functionality.
- Quality Documentation: Maintain test cases, test data, test reports, defect records, and other QA documentation.
- Root Cause Analysis: Assist in identifying the root causes of defects and work with developers to ensure effective resolution.
- CI/CD Support: Support the integration and execution of automated tests within CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development and DevOps teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, test coverage, automation, and overall product quality.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Quality Engineering / Software Testing, with proven expertise in handling multiple projects in a service-based or product development environment.
- Testing Expertise: Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
- Automation Skills: Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright, or similar technologies.
- Test Planning & Analysis: Strong ability to analyse business requirements, identify test scenarios, and create effective test strategies and test cases.
- API & Database Testing: Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured, along with basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Defect Management: Proficiency in defect tracking, root cause analysis,
and quality reporting using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- CI/CD & Quality Processes: Experience integrating testing within CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Quality Mindset: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a proactive approach toward continuous quality improvement.
