Role Description This is a full-time, in office Assistant Steward role based in Bengaluru, with a focus on Italian food and beverage operations.

The Assistant

Steward supports the kitchen and service teams by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper maintenance of all utensils, equipment, and workstations, particularly in areas handling Italian cuisine.

Responsibilities include assisting with basic food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, handling dishwashing and waste disposal, and supporting inventory and stock rotation.



The role also involves coordinating with servers and chefs to ensure smooth service during peak hours, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols, and providing courteous support to internal and external guests as required.

Qualifications

- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to support guests and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Experience or training in Food & Beverage and Food Service operations, ideally with exposure to Italian cuisine.
- Ability to participate in and benefit from Training programs focused on hygiene, safety, and standard operating procedures.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety regulations, and cleaning procedures in a commercial food service environment.
- Previous experience in a steward, kitchen assistant, or hospitality support role preferred, especially in international or airport settings.
- Capacity to work shifts, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and reliability.
- Comfortable handling physical tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and moving equipment safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or hospitality certification is an advantage.
