University invites applications from dedicated, research-driven, and student-focused educators for the role of Assistant Professor in Physiotherapy. The primary focus of this position is delivering high-quality academic and practical training to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) programme, aligned with the competency-based guidelines of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP).
Key Responsibilities 1. Academic & Pedagogical Delivery - Conduct lectures, practical lab sessions, and clinical tutorials for undergraduate BPT students across all academic years.
- Develop course modules, unit plans, lab manuals, and objective assessment rubrics aligned with university standards and NCAHP recommendations.
- Integrate evidence-based teaching strategies, simulation-based learning, and modern clinical technologies into the classroom.
- Administer continuous evaluations, internal assessments, practical exams, and viva-voce tests. 2.
Clinical
Supervision & Practical Training - Supervise BPT student clinical postings in university-affiliated hospitals, OPDs, and rehabilitation facilities.
- Train students in clinical reasoning, patient assessment, differential diagnosis, electrotherapy, and manual therapy techniques.
- Research & Mentorship - Guide BPT students through mandatory undergraduate research projects, literature reviews, and clinical seminars.
- Pursue personal research interests and publish original work in reputed, indexed journals.
- Prepare proposals for research grants and collaborative project opportunities.
- Administrative & Institutional Support - Contribute to school and university committees - Assist in organizing conferences, workshops, health camps, guest lectures, competitions and other events.
- Act as an academic mentor/advisor to BPT students, providing guidance on academic performance and professional ethics. Eligibility & Qualifications oMaster’s Degree in Physiotherapy (MPT / M.P.Th.) with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university. oPh.D. in Physiotherapy / Rehabilitation Sciences (completed or in progress) is highly preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of post-MPT teaching or clinical experience in a recognized academic or hospital setup. Fresh MPT/Ph.D. graduates with strong academic credentials may also apply.
Research & Skills:
- Direct experience in clinical skills instruction and undergraduate lab management.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities. Position - DEMONSTRATOR (PHYSIOTHERAPY) Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and implement physiotherapy treatment in the Physiotherapy OPD in the KRMU campus.
- Assist faculty members in practical physiotherapy laboratory classes.
- Develop and maintain teaching materials e.G. lab manuals and handouts.
- Provide clinical training to students posted in the OPD.
- Conduct health camps in the neighboring areas.
- Co-ordinate with our MoU partners for training BPT students.
- Accompany and guide students during sports and other events requiring physiotherapy services.
- Maintain documentation related to OPD and laboratories. Qualification - BPT from a recognized University
- Registration with HSCP is mandatory (should have applied for registration by the date of joining) Skills Required - Preferred- 2 years’ clinical experience.
