Role Objective:

Responsible for the end-to-end conceptualization, design, validation, pricing, launch and lifecycle management of pathology technical products across routine, specialty and super-specialty segments.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Design:

Conceptualize current pathology tests, specialty panels, and health packages

Design both bundled and standalone offerings

Identify market gaps using clinician and field insights

Ensure alignment with current clinical guidelines and specialty trends

Maintain a differentiated and contemporary test portfolio

Technical & Clinical Governance:

Validate scientific rationale and clinical utility

Align with pathologists on reporting formats, reference ranges, and interpretation notes

Assess feasibility, sensitivity/specificity, and limitations

Ensure SOP readiness prior to rollout

Regulatory & Medico-Legal Compliance

Ensure compliance with NABL and applicable regulatory standards

Review documentation, validation records, and disclaimers

Check marketing claims for scientific and regulatory accuracy

Operational Feasibility

Evaluate sample requirements, logistics, TAT, storage conditions





Coordinate with lab operations for infrastructure and reagent readiness

Assess in-house vs referral testing viability

Clinician & Sales Collaboration (Significant Focus Area):

Engage specialty clinicians for panel validation and acceptance

Partner with retail sales teams to capture market feedback

Translate field insights into product innovation

Conduct product training sessions for sales teams

Develop FAQs, positioning guides, and objection-handling tools

Product Launch

Develop product positioning and value proposition

Create technical collaterals, brochures, and clinical leaflets

Support launches via CMEs, webinars, and internal briefings

Monitor post-launch performance and adoption

Educational Qualification (Technical Mandatory)

B.Sc in Biotechnology/M.Sc in Biotechnology

MBA/MHA in Healthcare or similar qualification

Experience Required

5-10 years in pathology / diagnostics industry

Strong exposure to specialty diagnostics and test development

Experience working with lab operations and accreditation standards

Prior diagnostics chain experience preferred
