JOB PROFILE
Location: Corporate Office, Kolkata
Designation: Asst. / Deputy Manager - CSR & Admin
Reporting to: CSR Head

ROLE OBJECTIVE To take care of Company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) function by conceptualizing, planning, implementing and monitoring impactful CSR initiatives while ensuring full compliance with the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013. The role requires a strategic professional who can independently manage CSR governance, budgeting, documentation and execution of community development projects that create sustainable social impact and align with the Company's values.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
CSR Strategy & Planning
- Develop annual CSR plans in line with the Company's CSR Policy and statutory requirements.
- Identify and recommend impactful CSR initiatives based on community needs and organisational priorities.
- Prepare project proposals, implementation plans, timelines and measurable success parameters.
- Drive continuous improvement by introducing innovative and sustainable CSR initiatives.
Project Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of CSR projects across multiple locations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, plant teams, community representatives and local authorities for successful implementation.
- Monitor project progress through periodic reviews and site visits.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within approved budgets and timelines.
Statutory Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 and the applicable CSR Rules.
- Assist with documentation for CSR Committee meetings and Board approvals.
- Maintain all statutory records related to CSR activities.
- Coordinate preparation of the Annual CSR Report for inclusion in the Company's Annual Report.
Budgeting & Financial Management
- Prepare annual CSR budgets and project-wise cost estimates.
- Monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
- Track utilisation of CSR funds and prepare periodic budget reports.
Documentation & Reporting
- Draft MoUs, project documents, approvals and other official correspondence.
- Prepare presentations, progress reports and management updates.
- Maintain project documentation including photographs, beneficiary records and impact data.
- Compile project achievements and case studies for internal and external communication.
Impact Measurement
- Develop project monitoring frameworks and measurable performance indicators.
- Coordinate impact assessment studies wherever applicable.
- Analyse project outcomes and recommend corrective actions or improvements.
- Maintain dashboards to track project progress, budgets and outcomes.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with district administration, government departments,
educational institutions, healthcare organisations and community representatives for project implementation.
- Build collaborative relationships with external stakeholders to facilitate successful execution of CSR programmes.
- Represent the Company in meetings, project reviews and CSR-related forums as required.
DESIRED SKILL SETS
- Strong understanding of CSR laws, policies and governance framework.
- Excellent knowledge of Companies Act, 2013 (Section 135) and CSR Rules.
- Experience in Impact Assessment coordination and project evaluation.
- Expertise in budgeting, project costing and financial monitoring.
- Solid drafting skills for MoUs, CSR reports and policy documents.
- Ability to conceptualise, plan and execute large CSR programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, presentation and report writing capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and project reporting tools.
MUST-HAVE SKILLS Proven experience in managing CSR projects independently.
