Role Description The Agency Manager role at Niva Bupa Health Insurance is a full-time, on-site position based in Guwahati. The individual in this role will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and managing a team of insurance agents, ensuring they are trained on products, processes, and compliance requirements. Day-to-day activities include driving sales through the agency channel, setting and monitoring performance targets, and supporting agents with customer acquisition, policy issuance, and renewal management.

Manager will collaborate with branch leadership and cross-functional teams to implement sales campaigns, track business metrics, and enhance customer experience. This role also involves conducting regular reviews, providing coaching and feedback, and maintaining robust relationships with local market stakeholders to grow the agency business sustainably.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in agency management, sales leadership, or insurance distribution, preferably within health or general insurance.
- Strong skills in people management, team building, and performance coaching for field sales or agency teams.
- Proficiency in sales planning, target setting, and pipeline management, with the ability to analyze data and drive outcomes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities with agents, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of insurance products, regulatory guidelines, and customer service best practices; health insurance exposure is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, with high levels of ownership and integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Local market knowledge of Guwahati and surrounding regions, and willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
