We are hiring a passionate and engaging Afrikaans Language Tutor to teach students across international locations. The role focuses on developing students’ speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills through structured and interactive online lessons.

? About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Afrikaans Tutor who can deliver engaging, effective, and structured online lessons.

The tutor will work with learners of different age groups and proficiency levels to help them develop their Afrikaans language skills, including conversational fluency, reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar, and comprehension.

This is a remote, part-time position with flexible scheduling based on student availability across different time zones.

? Compensation:

Starts at Rs. 300/hour – based on experience, language proficiency, and teaching background.

? Timings & Commitment:

Remote | Flexible hours

Students from multiple time zones

Minimum: 24 hours/week

Long-term commitment (10+ months) preferred

? Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct engaging 1-on-1 online Afrikaans language lessons
- Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
- Customize lessons according to the learner’s age, level, and goals
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence formation, and comprehension




- Use practical examples, conversations, reading passages, and interactive activities
- Support students with translations and language assignments where required
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain clear and professional communication with students/parents
- Adapt teaching methods for beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment

✅ Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Afrikaans, Languages, Linguistics, Literature, Education, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience teaching Afrikaans (online or offline)
- Strong/native-level proficiency in Afrikaans
- Good command of English for bilingual teaching and communication
- Experience teaching international students is a plus
- Experience with IB/IGCSE/GCSE or other international curricula is an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for language teaching and working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds

Quiet, well-lit teaching setting A demo/trial session will be required before onboarding
