Role Purpose:
The role is responsible for end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance (TDS, GST, Advance Tax) bank and party reconciliations, MIS/CFS preparation, vendor and employee payments, and audit support — ensuring accurate books of accounts and timely, compliant financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day accounting entries in Tally / Zoho Books; maintain hard-copy filing of vouchers and supporting documents as per finance department norms.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports and Cash Flow Statements (CFS) for management review.
- Liaise with banks for day-to-day operations, documentation, facility renewals, and query resolution.
- Carry out periodic reconciliation of bank accounts, debtor ledgers, and creditor ledgers; identify and resolve mismatches.
- Process vendor payments (including foreign remittances) and employee payments/reimbursements accurately and on schedule.
- Deduct TDS as applicable on vendor and employee payments; prepare and file TDS returns (24Q/26Q) within statutory timelines.
- Manage GST compliance end-to-end — input/output reconciliation (GSTR-2B matching), preparation and filing of GSTR-1,
GSTR-3B, and the GST Annual Return (GSTR-9/9C).
- Prepare provisional financial statements (P&L;, Balance Sheet) for internal and external reporting needs.
- Support statutory and internal auditors during audits, including preparation of schedules and finalisation of financial statements.
- Undertake other finance and accounts related tasks as assigned by the Head of Finance.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Working knowledge of Tally and Zoho Books is mandatory.
- Solid understanding of TDS provisions, return filing, and reconciliation.
- Full working knowledge of GST — reconciliation, monthly/annual return filing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for MIS and reconciliation work.
- Good understanding of banking processes, including foreign payments/remittances.
- Ability to work independently, meet statutory deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Good communication skills for liaising with banks, vendors, and auditors.
Qualification and Experience:
- B.Com / M.Com / Semi-qualified CA / CMA or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounts and finance, preferably in a similar industry.
