Job Summary

An Academic Counsellor is responsible for guiding students in choosing suitable academic programs, courses, and career pathways. The role involves counselling students and parents, explaining course details, handling admissions, and supporting students throughout the enrolment process.

Key Responsibilities

Counsel students regarding courses, colleges, programs, and career options.

Understand students’ academic background, interests, and career goals.

Provide accurate information about course curriculum, eligibility, fees, and admission procedures.

Handle student and parent enquiries through phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.

Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.

Assist students with the application and admission process.

Maintain student records, enquiry details, and follow-up reports.

Conduct counselling sessions, seminars, and orientation programs.

Coordinate with academic and admissions teams.





Achieve assigned admission/enrolment targets.

Maintain good relationships with students, parents, and educational institutions.

Required Skills

Basic computer and MS Office knowledge.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Experience in academic counselling, education, admissions, or sales is an added advantage.

Experience

Freshers can apply; 1–3 years of experience in counselling/admissions is preferred.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
