Job Summary

As Data Specialist Engineer you Define and maintain audit trail and data logging strategies that enable tracking of data changes, support issue investigation, and provide long-term historical visibility across the application lifecycle. Partner with Backend Engineers to design scalable database structures, data models, and database solutions that support application features and business requirements.

How Youll Make an Impact

- Design, develop, and maintain the database layer for a cloud-based application running on Azure.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to ensure application performance, reliability, and data integrity.
- Investigate and resolve data-related issues through data analysis, root cause identification, debugging, and data correction activities.
- Manage Azure SQL Database environments, including schema updates, deployments, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to Agile delivery processes and CI/CD deployments using Azure DevOps, working closely with Product, Development, and QA teams.
- Explore emerging technologies, including AI-driven automation and agentic frameworks, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency over time.

What You Bring

- 3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Database Development, or SQL-focused engineering roles.
- Robust hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases; experience with Azure SQL Database is preferred.
- Solid understanding of database design, data modeling, indexing, query optimization, performance tuning, and data integrity principles.
- Experience developing and maintaining SQL queries, stored procedures,



and scripts for data analysis, troubleshooting, and data correction.
- Ability to investigate complex data issues, perform root cause analysis, and support application development teams with effective database solutions.
- Experience working with cloud platforms and services, with exposure to Azure technologies such as Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) preferred. Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating across Product, Engineering, and QA teams.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, capable of independently driving tasks to completion and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Interest in exploring emerging technologies, automation, and agentic AI solutions that can improve operational efficiency and support evolving enterprise application needs.
