Job Summary:
Responsible for carrying out surveying and setting-out activities for road construction projects, ensuring accurate measurements, levels, alignments, and site data as per approved drawings and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct topographical surveys, alignment surveys, and site measurements.
- Carry out setting out for road alignment, centreline, formation, subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC and other road works.
- Establish and maintain benchmarks, reference points, coordinates, levels and control points.
- Check line, level, gradient, slope and cross-sections as per approved drawings.
- Take accurate measurements for quantity calculations and execution monitoring.
- Prepare survey reports, field books, level books and measurement records.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers,
QA/QC and Project Engineers for daily survey requirements.
- Verify existing ground levels and prepare required survey data.
- Operate and maintain Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/DGPS and other surveying instruments.
- Ensure proper calibration and protected handling of survey instruments.
- Assist in preparing as-built survey data and drawings.
- Identify and report discrepancies in drawings, levels or site conditions to the concerned engineer.
Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant surveying qualification.
Experience: 35 years in road construction / infrastructure projects.
