Principal Responsibilities:

- Managing indirect tax matters for clients, with a primary focus on GST compliance, refund processing, and litigation support.
- The Lead will assist in preparation of monthly and annual GST filings, coordinate with the clients and support the Manager in execution of routine GST tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B) and annual returns (GSTR-9, 9C) for a diverse client base.
- Advise on various GST compliances to the clients.
- Prepare GST computation workings, reconciliations (GSTR 2A/2B vs books), and ITC eligibility assessments.
- Experience in working on GST compliances for companies with presence in different states.
- Assist in GST refund applications (export of goods/services, inverted duty, excess tax paid, etc.) and prepare proper documentation, eligibility checks, and follow-up with clients for data and finalisation
- Liaison with the GST Department for any notices, refund processing etc.
- Draft and file responses to GST notices, SCNs, and appeals before GST authorities.




- Assist in handling audits and investigations conducted by tax departments.
- Experience in Customs, EOU, SEZ, STPI related matters from an Indirect Taxation perspective.
- Advise clients on complex GST issues, tax positions, and emerging compliance risks.
- Update clients on key changes in GST laws, circulars, advance rulings, and judicial decisions.
- Review junior staff deliverables and provide timely feedback for quality improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments (audit, direct tax, accounts) for integrated client solutions.
- Stay abreast of legal updates and judicial developments in GST and allied indirect tax laws.

Essential requirements:

- CA Inter / MBA with minimum 3 years of Indirect Taxation experience in a CA office
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Positive soft skills
- Exposure to various audit and tax services
- Strong user of MS Office
