Role & responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT programs involving multiple projects, teams, and technology platforms.
- Define program objectives, scope, roadmap, timelines, budgets, milestones, and success metrics.
- Establish program governance, reporting mechanisms, delivery standards, and stakeholder communication.
- Manage cross-functional teams across technology, product, engineering, infrastructure, security, operations, and business functions.
- Track program progress, dependencies, risks, issues, and resource requirements, ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage program budgets, resource allocation, vendor relationships, and third-party delivery partners.
- Drive Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid delivery methodologies based on program requirements.
- Coordinate multiple project managers and technical leads to ensure alignment with overall program objectives.
- Communicate program status, risks, financials, and key decisions to senior management and executive stakeholders.
- Drive change management, process improvements, and organizational adoption of new technology solutions.
- Ensure programs meet quality, security, compliance, architecture, and operational-readiness requirements.
- Identify opportunities for automation, cloud adoption, digital transformation, and technology modernization.
- Conduct post-program reviews and drive continuous improvement and benefits realization.
Preferred candidate profile
- 5 to 10 years of experience in IT program management, project management, technology delivery, PMO, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent IT projects/programs with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, SDLC, and IT delivery methodologies.
- Experience with cloud, infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, data/analytics, DevOps, or digital transformation programs.
- Strong skills in program governance, risk and issue management, dependency management, budgeting, resource planning, and vendor management.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or equivalent program-management platforms.
- Strong stakeholder-management and executive-communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with business and technology leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, competing priorities, and delivery risks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, decision-making, and leadership capabilities.
- Experience working with system integrators, technology vendors, and external partners is advantageous.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
- MBA/Masters degree is an advantage; PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Scrum, or ITIL certifications are preferred.
