About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer to join our Advanced Engineering Team. The role focuses on the research, development, validation, and prototyping of advanced control systems for automotive control systems, state estimation, sensor fusion, etc.
The ideal candidate combines robust theoretical understanding of control systems with practical hands-on experience in hardware experimentation, sensor integration, system debugging, and rapid proof-of-concept development. This position requires curiosity, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate research concepts into functioning real-world demonstrations.

Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong fundamentals systems and control.
- Knowledge of estimators and observers.
Hardware Experience
- Hands-on experience working with:
- Sensors, embedded systems
- Test setups and laboratory equipment
- Ability to: Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues
Software & Programming
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink.
- Basic to intermediate programming skills.
Electrical & Electronics Knowledge
Basic understanding of:
- Analog and digital electronics
- Power systems and electrical fundamentals
- Sensor interfaces
- Signal conditioning
- Communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Automotive controls such vehicle/motor controls etc.
- Experience with automotive perception sensors and multi-sensor fusion.
- Familiarity of systems modelling.
- Familiarity with embedded controllers and real-time systems.
- Exposure to autonomous system frameworks.
- Knowledge of Model-Based Design using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing.
- Understanding of system identification techniques.
- Exposure to machine learning techniques applied to control or estimation problems.
- Experience reading and implementing algorithms from research publications.
