Role & responsibilities

EDI Integration and Operations

- Analyzing and implementing EDI requirements in collaboration with internal and external business partners
- Developing, implementing and supporting EDI mappings and interfaces
- Supporting and optimizing existing EDI processes
- Monitoring EDI message flows and performing error analysis
- Supporting incident handling, problem management and root cause analysis
- Ensuring service availability and data quality

Project Work

- Participating in or leading EDI and integration projects
- Coordinating with business departments, customers and suppliers
- Preparing technical and functional concepts
- Estimating effort and developing project schedules
- Managing external service providers and implementation partners
- Conducting tests and supporting go-live activities

Consulting

- Advising business departments on EDI standards and integration options
- Evaluating new technologies and integration approaches
- Supporting digitalization and automation initiatives

Functional Requirements

EDI and Integration Expertise

At least five years of qualified experience in EDI and system integration, combined with very good knowledge of:

- EDIFACT
- VDA
- Odette
- ANSI X12
- Experience with mapping technologies
- Knowledge of XML, XSLT and structured data exchange formats




- Experience with communication protocols
- AS2 and OFTP2
- HTTPS, SOAP and REST
- Knowledge of API-based and hybrid integration scenarios
- Understanding of cloud integration platforms
- Experience in operating EDI platforms

Ideally, experience with:

- Axway TSIM
- SAP PO
- SAP Integration Suite / SAP CI

Industry Knowledge

- Experience in industrial companies, ideally within the automotive sector
- Knowledge of automotive-specific message types:
- DELFOR
- DELJIT
- DESADV
- INVOIC
- Current VDA standards
- ANSI X12 standards, etc.

SAP and Process Knowledge

- Good knowledge of SAP processes:
- MM (Materials Management)
- SD (Sales & Distribution)
- Logistics
- Finance
- Understanding of end-to-end order-to-cash and purchase-to-pay processes
- Experience integrating ERP systems

Project Management Skills

- Experience in international IT projects
- Knowledge of traditional and agile project management methodologies, such as Waterfall, Scrum and agile frameworks
- Structured and systematic working approach
- Experience in risk and stakeholder management
- Strong documentation and presentation skills
