Job Summary

Hiring a Sr. Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy features on a global eCommerce platform built on HCL Commerce. The role involves close collaboration with business analysts, technical design ownership, feature development on HCL Commerce, code quality leadership for the scrum team, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and refine business requirements with business analysts and recommend improvements based on business impact
- Prepare technical design documents based on business requirements
- Design and build new features on HCL Commerce, extending and customizing components as required
- Identify and resolve complex application and technical issues independently
- Lead development and unit/integration testing for the scrum team
- Conduct code reviews, performance assessments, and architecture discussions
- Own overall code quality and delivery velocity for the team
- Support production issue resolution for newly released features




- Mentor and guide software engineers on the team
- Identify areas of growth and improvement within the team

Skills Required

- Strong knowledge of software development tools, activities, and the full software development life cycle
- Experience with software integration processes, including designing and maintaining interfaces to other platforms and systems
- Ability to convert business requirements into software product design and architecture
- Technical depth to design, configure, and integrate complex software products

Candidate Requirements

- 6+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years designing and developing applications in Java
- Experience with HCL Commerce (formerly WebSphere Commerce) platform v8 or v9
- Robust understanding of security principles as applied to eCommerce applications
