Job Title : Injection Moulding Supervisor

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Shift: Rotational

Experience: 2+ years in injection moulding, with 12 years in a supervisory role

preferred

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage daily operations of injection moulding machines and operators

to ensure quality production, efficient machine utilization, minimal downtime, and

adherence to safety and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the operation of injection moulding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment.

Plan and allocate manpower across shifts to ensure smooth production flow.

Monitor machine parameters, cycle times, and optimize process settings for productivity

and quality.

Ensure proper mold changeovers, machine startups, and shutdowns as per SOPs.

Troubleshoot minor molding issues (flash, short shot, sink marks, etc.).

Ensure that 5S, safety, and housekeeping practices are strictly followed.

Review production reports and take corrective action for any deviations from targets.





Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Tool Room departments for issue resolution.

Train and mentor machine operators and ensure they follow work instructions and job

safety practices.

Maintain accurate production documentation, daily log sheets, and downtime reports

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Plastics / Polymer Engineering.

Positive knowledge of injection moulding machines.

Hands-on experience with thermoplastics and various mold types.

Understanding of process parameters, troubleshooting techniques, and quality

standards.

Leadership and team-handling abilities.

Knowledge of ISO standards and basic lean manufacturing concepts (5S, Kaizen, etc.)

KPIs / Performance Metrics:

Machine efficiency (OEE)

Rejection rate

Downtime hours

On-time mold changeovers

Operator skill development

Compliance with safety and quality standards
