Sage Healthy provides medical billing and revenue cycle management services to healthcare practices across the United States. Our Avadi team works with colleagues in North America to improve billing accuracy, reimbursement, and service delivery. Our people and technology underpin the quality and continuity of that work.

Position Summary:

The People & Organization Manager leads the full HR function for Sage Healthy Global, with accountability for recruitment, retention, rewards, recognition, employee relations, policies, and reliable HR administration. This is a hands-on management role that turns business needs into practical people initiatives and measurable improvements in hiring, employee experience, and team stability.

The manager partners with India operations, department leaders, Business Operations & Finance, and corporate leadership to build capable teams and support fair, consistent management. The role owns HR service quality and coaches or supervises assigned HR support staff, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and approval controls.

Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment and Onboarding

- Agree staffing priorities, job profiles, selection criteria, and hiring timelines with department managers within approved headcount and budgets.
- Build candidate pipelines through local networks, referrals, institutions, and relevant recruitment channels; lead structured screening, interviews, and offer coordination.
- Own joining readiness and onboarding, including documentation, induction, manager handoffs, and 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins; track early performance and retention.

2. Retention and Employee Engagement

- Identify preventable turnover through employee feedback, stay conversations, departure feedback, and analysis by team and tenure; agree corrective actions with managers.
- Run a practical engagement calendar and short employee surveys; communicate findings and follow through on agreed improvements.
- Support career conversations, internal mobility, and a positive employee experience for office-based and remote India staff.

3. Rewards and Recognition

- Review market information and internal pay consistency; recommend salary ranges, increments, benefits, and incentives with Finance and leadership approval.
- Administer approved compensation review and reward processes with documented criteria, budget checks, and clear employee communication.
- Build timely, fair recognition for individual and team contributions, service milestones,



and company values; monitor participation across teams and work locations.

4. Performance and Development

- Coordinate goal setting, probation reviews, performance discussions, and development plans with transparent deadlines and completion tracking.
- Coach managers on feedback, performance concerns, documentation, and fair treatment; support appropriate improvement plans and escalation.
- Identify training needs with department heads, coordinate delivery, and assess whether learning improves job performance and readiness for greater responsibility.

5. Employee Relations and Policies

- Provide an accessible, confidential channel for employee concerns; handle matters promptly, document outcomes, and escalate sensitive cases to designated leadership or advisers.
- Maintain clear people policies and support consistent application across hiring, attendance, leave, conduct, performance, and separation.
- Coordinate applicable employment compliance, workplace dignity and harassment-prevention processes, required training, and records with qualified local advisers.

6. HR Administration and Payroll Coordination

- Own accurate employee records, employment documentation, attendance and leave data, benefits administration, and timely updates in the HR system.
- Validate and submit payroll inputs, including joiners, leavers, attendance, and approved salary changes; resolve discrepancies with Business Operations & Finance.
- Coordinate employee benefit and statutory administration with Finance and advisers, maintaining clear owners and calendars for required actions.
- Manage separations, handovers, employee communications, and final-settlement inputs; coordinate access removal and asset return with Infrastructure & Support.

7. People Planning and Process Improvement

- Maintain a practical people plan aligned with staffing demand, organizational changes, and management priorities; flag capacity and succession risks early.
- Standardize HR workflows and service expectations, delegate routine tasks where resources permit, and improve HR system use and data quality.
- Coordinate confidentiality and security training with relevant teams; restrict employee information to authorized users and maintain appropriate records.

8. Reporting and Accountability





- Provide a concise monthly dashboard covering time to fill, offer acceptance, 90-day retention, voluntary turnover, engagement feedback, and recognition participation.
- Track timely onboarding, probation and performance reviews, payroll-input accuracy, and closure of employee concerns and agreed actions.
- Establish baselines and agree realistic targets with leadership within the first 60 days; review results monthly and own corrective actions with department managers.
- Operate within delegated authority. Obtain approval for headcount, compensation changes, incentive budgets, policy changes, and significant employment decisions.

Requirements:

- Ability to combine hands-on HR delivery with ownership of recruitment, retention, and employee engagement outcomes.
- Strong judgment, discretion, organization, and follow-through when handling sensitive employee and management matters.
- Ability to coach managers, resolve problems constructively, and collaborate across functions and locations.
- Clear written and spoken English and effective Tamil communication for the local workforce.
- Availability to work from Avadi and coordinate with international colleagues as required.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related discipline; a postgraduate HR qualification is preferred.
- Experience: Typically 58 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years leading HR initiatives or a team, with evidence of improved hiring, retention, or engagement.
- Functional knowledge: Practical experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation reviews, and HR administration.
- Local knowledge: Working knowledge of employment requirements and HR practices relevant to Tamil Nadu, with the judgment to seek specialist advice.
- Systems and analytics: Proficiency in an HR platform such as Keka, Microsoft Excel, and concise management reporting; ability to turn data into action.
- Industry exposure: Experience in medical billing, healthcare services, BPO, IT-enabled services, or a comparable service organization is preferred.

- Salary is commensurate with experience and role scope, paid monthly on the last working day.
- Annual vacation and personal time off follow company policy and applicable requirements.
- Bonus eligibility after the first year is subject to the approved scheme and employment terms.
