The Finance Manager will lead the finance function of the Indian holding company and be responsible for financial reporting, taxation, FEMA compliances, intercompany transactions, statutory and regulatory compliances, and overall financial governance. The role will ensure effective coordination with overseas entities, project entities, auditors, consultants, regulatory/tax authorities, and internal stakeholders while driving compliance with the parent company's accounting policies, governance framework, and applicable laws across all SPVs, projects, and GST registrations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting, Reporting & Governance
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, RERA, SEBI Listing Regulations and IFCFR.
- Review financial statements, management reports and Board reporting.
- Drive implementation of finance policies, SOPs and internal controls.
- Support to the parent entity finance function as and when required.
- Lead implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives.
2. Intercompany Transactions & Cost Management
- Oversee intercompany accounting, reconciliations and settlements.
- Review overseas invoices, cost allocations and forward charge mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing and related party requirements.
3. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Lead GST, Income Tax, FEMA and statutory compliances.
- Serve as the primary finance point of contact for regional teams, providing strategic guidance on GST compliances, technical GST matters, litigation support,
ensuring posting of necessary accounting entries related to GST and ensuring consistent implementation of tax policies across the Indian entity.
- Monitor GST compliance across all GST registrations including monitoring of ITC.
- Coordinate advance tax workings and Income Tax compliances.
- Coordinate statutory, internal, tax and GST audits.
- Manage tax assessments, notices and litigation in consultation with advisors.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities.
4. Stakeholder Management
- Act as the finance SPOC for overseas entities, project teams, auditors, consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Support business teams on finance, tax and compliance matters.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Chartered Accountant (ICAI)
Experience: 4-6 + years in real estate finance and handling international commissions or developer-broker networks. (Preferred)
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and financial reporting.
- Sound understanding of GST, Income Tax, TDS, DTAA and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience in intercompany accounting.
- Knowledge of treasury operations, banking processes and Foreign Remittance.
- Solid understanding of invoice verification, supporting documentation and financial controls.
- Experience in liasioning with statutory audits, internal audits, Tax audits and litigation support.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with overseas entities, parent companys, consultants, auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
