Job Title: Buyer - Pumps & Outsourced Supplier Management

Location :- Mumbai

Procurement & Commercial Management

- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for Pumps and related outsourced components.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with the supplier base to ensure cost competitiveness, quality, and delivery performance.
- Conduct RFQs, commercial negotiations, cost analysis, and finalization of purchase orders.
- Drive annual cost reduction, value engineering, and localization initiatives.
- Ensure timely contract renewals and commercial agreements with suppliers.
- Monitor market trends, raw material fluctuations, and supplier pricing to optimize procurement costs.

Supplier Management

- Manage and strengthen the outsourced pump supplier network.
- Evaluate supplier performance on Quality, Cost, Delivery (QCD), and service parameters.
- Coordinate with suppliers to improve lead times, capacity planning, and supply reliability.
- Support supplier development and risk mitigation activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and supplier governance requirements.

Supply Chain Coordination

- Ensure uninterrupted supply of pumps and outsourced parts as per production and customer requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Production Planning, Operations, Stores, Quality, and Logistics teams.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock availability while controlling inventory carrying costs.
- Track open purchase orders and expedite critical deliveries to avoid production disruptions.




- Manage supplier schedules, dispatch planning, and delivery adherence.

MIS & Reporting

- Prepare and maintain procurement and supply chain MIS reports.
- Track and report KPIs such as Purchase Savings, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), Supplier Performance, and Cost Reduction.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement dashboards for management review.
- Maintain accurate procurement data, records, and documentation in SAP systems.
- Analyze procurement and supplier data to support management decision-making.

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve supplier-related issues.
- Support recent product development through supplier sourcing and cost estimation activities.
- Participate in audits, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies, quality systems, and statutory requirements.
