Role: Sports Science Associate Biomechanics

The candidate will assist in biomechanical assessments, athlete performance testing, movement analysis and athlete monitoring.

Responsibilities

- Assist in conducting biomechanical assessments, performance testing, and movement analysis of athletes.
- Collect, process, interpret, and analyse athlete performance and biomechanical data.
- Assist in identifying performance limitations and potential injury-risk factors through biomechanical and performance assessments.
- Support athlete monitoring and tracking of performance-related parameters.
- Assist in developing performance-enhancement and injury-prevention interventions based on assessment findings.
- Support research activities related to biomechanics, sports performance, athlete development, and injury prevention.
- Prepare assessment reports, data summaries, presentations, and performance insights for coaches and relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with sports scientists, physiotherapists, coaches, athletes, and other support staff during assessments and interventions.
- Maintain athlete assessment records, databases, and relevant research documentation.




- Support continuous improvement of biomechanical assessment and performance-monitoring methodologies.

Experience

- 0-4 years of relevant qualified experience.
- Experience in performance testing and biomechanical assessment.
- Knowledge of movement analysis and interpretation of athlete performance data.
- Familiarity with statistical/data-analysis tools and techniques.
- Understanding of athlete monitoring, performance assessment, and injury-risk identification.

Desirable:

- Certification in Sports Biomechanics, Sports Performance Analysis, or Athlete Monitoring from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in data-analysis tools and biomechanical assessment.

Exposure to sports research and performance enhancement methodologies.

Mandatory:

- Bachelors/Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Sports Sciences, Exercise & Sports Sciences, Physical Education, or Biomedical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
- OR PG Diploma in Sports Performance Analysis from NSNIS, Patiala.
