Role & responsibilities

- Strong hands-on experience in Java (Java 11/17+) backend development
- Proficiency with frameworks such as Spring Boot / Spring MVC / Quarkus
- Solid experience building and maintaining microservices architectures
- Hands-on experience with REST API design and development
- Strong working knowledge of Apache Kafka producers, consumers, topics, and event-driven architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms — GCP and/or AWS (compute, storage, networking, and deployment services)
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Good exposure to relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) for unit and integration testing
- Understanding of security best practices in backend systems (OAuth2, JWT)
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (logging, metrics, tracing)
- Robust problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional, agile teams
